Our Story
At Southern Lactation our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC's) aim to assist in guiding families through a wide range of issues including; education about normal newborn behaviour, positioning and attachment issues, sore nipples, mastitis, infant oral assessment, screening for tethered oral tissue (ankyloglossia), breast or bottle refusal, addressing concerns related to insufficient glandular tissue, and supporting parents through the trials of coping with sleep, crying, and unsettled babies.

"Erika is very knowledgeable and provides an excellent service, especially for first time expectant mothers such as myself who have questions about feeding their new baby. Finding out the best way to ensure both mother and baby are coping with the transition into newborn motherhood is of top priority to Erika, she checks in regularly and I will definitely be consulting her postpartum if I have any queries or concerns"
